Officially finished my job at Lidcombe :'-(  It only lasted 3 weeks but the students, colleagues and my bosses there are such sweet people. I was asking one of my students about school and he was telling me about how it doesn't have a great reputation and "a lot of people seem to hate it". I asked him why and he said that people at his school  I know for drinking, using drugs, etc. I told him to try to stay away from that sort of stuff if possible and he told me he will. Spent the rest of the lesson doing french (HAHAHA) and although he struggled at first, he eventually began to get the hang of it. Still with mistakes but I just think that every child deserves the opportunity to be educated regardless of your culture, status, ethnicity and when you give them that opportunity, they can do great things.
